Christmas Recap

Ok, so I do realize that it's February and we're just now doing the Christmas recap, we're a little late to say the least.... What we lack in promptness, we'll try to make up for in pictures :)

To start our Christmas adventures, we hopped a plane... (Emily took advantage of Grandpa's window seat)

and headed to the land of ice and snow

to visit with Gr-Grandma!

By surprise we also got to visit with these folks as well! Uncle Dick and Aunt Vivi surprised everyone by making the trip from VA. It was great having everyone together.
Here's a random assortment of our time in MN:
Family snowman
sledding...
Then Eric built his own snowman...
and did this to it! Poor snowman's head got launched...
Quality time with Uncle Dick

and tickle time with Gr-Grandma :)
Then of course, with Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents around, Emily received a mountain of presents.

Christmas Time is Here.... La La La... (Part II)

A Charlie Brown Christmas reenactment:

2009

Do I see a tradition in the making?

Shoes, shoes, shoes...

One of Emily's more recent favorite activities involves trying to wear Mom's and Dad's shoes around the house. She puts on our shoes and says "shoe, shoe, shoe", seriously, I think shoe is her most stated word now. Unfortunately for her, trying to wear our shoes is like trying to walk in snow skis - it just doesn't work out. The best part of her wearing our shoes is how funny and disproportionate her feet look - See:

And yes, those are the new PJ's from Aunt Vivi and Uncle Dick - thanks guys! :)

Cold weather + dry heat + thin hair = Super static head!

So now that it's cold and we have to run the heat, Emily often has a case of major static head. It's like she has her hand on one of those plasma electricity balls that make your hair stand up. We think it's funny and she doesn't seem to mind. Here's a demonstration of her wacky-winter hairdo.

Certamen Tournament

This past weekend, Eric hosted a Certamen tournament (a Latin competition) at his school with a few hundred kids in attendance. There was also one kid there that Eric likes to refer to as "the littlest Roman"...

Emily was there to assist Dad with all the important activities like eating lunch, keeping the students entertained, "adjusting" the books on the library shelves, and presenting and cheering during the awards ceremony.

Eric and Emily at work...

See, here's Emily doing her job to keep the students entertained.

Still entertaining....

For someone so shy, she sure did enjoy all of the attention!

Trip to Grandpa's and Random Happenings...

This past weekend we loaded up and headed down to Grandpa Adams' place.

Emily loaded and ready.

While there, we strolled around the whole perimeter of Grandpa's property

Emily got to run free in the field

Here's Grandpa with his new ride

We posed for a family portrait.

Here's a random mix of recent activities:

Happy Halloween!

Introducing...... Wonder Woman!

Here's her angry face for having to wear the headband. She only wore the headband for about 2.4 seconds...
Emily attended a Halloween party on Friday where she got to hang out with a fairy, a pumpkin, a loaf of Wonderbread, and Yoda. Here she is in the bouncy house with Yoda.

Wonder Woman (minus headband) to the rescue!
Happy Halloween!
